A night out on the town!

This past Friday Morgan and I had the opportunity to go to the opera at the Kennedy Center. It really is a beautiful building looking out across the Potomac River.

The opera was the famous Madama Butterfly by Puccini and it was quite good. The whole thing was in Italian, but they kindly displayed the English meaning on a projection screen above the stage.

Before the opera, we ate at a nice Italian restaurant in Georgetown called Ristorante la Perla; we were all dressed fancy and had lots of fun talking and eating yummy food.

This whole night was made possible by one of Morgan's co-workers Glenn. Glenn is a big opera buff and gets season tickets each year. He invited two of his friends and us to attend the opera and go to dinner with him. This was a lovely experience; thank you Glenn for thinking of us and being so kind to invite us.

For some crazy reason this picture will not go on straight :)
