Our plane left 45 minutes late due to a technical difficulty which in turned our 1 1/2 hour layover in St. Louis to 5 minutes (we barely made the connecting flight). We arrived in Little Rock and went to retrieve our bags, which missed our transfer and ended up in Dallas. We weren't too worried as they said they would deliver the next morning. That night we experienced our first taste of southern BBQ and boy was it GOOD! I have never ordered a full rack of ribs ;) (Morgan and I shared). Also that night Little Rock got 2'' of unheard snow and ice. They closed the airport for 2 days and we were stuck indoors for those 2 days as there are NO snowplows or anything.
Finally, on Sat. night we got our suit cases (we left early Mon. morning ;) hehe
On Sunday we got out of the house and went to see the famous bath houses of Hot Springs, AR. Bath houses were like spas in the "olden days". Along the way we saw beautiful trees all covered in ice. They were so pretty and the tiny icicles covered the branches.
Look closely and you can see the individual icicles on the branches.
The outside fountains had hot water coming out; it was nice in the cold air.We had a good break and it was great to see the family and beautiful Arkansas!
I'm glad you guys had fun in AR. I love the good ole southern BBQ. Sheena doesn't like it quite as much, but it is the only way she will eat BBQ sauce, so that must mean it is pretty dang good.
