We picked her up at the airport and drove into the city. We walked around Union Square visiting all the cool stores and then headed over to another one of Holly's favorites, a 50's diner- Mel's Drive-In.
We sat at a little booth that had its own jute box and slowly enjoyed our food and the music. She said that this was the best diner she had ever been too :) After eating, Holly had her first taxi-hailing experience and we took off to the show.
Wicked of course did not disappoint and was just as good as the first time we saw it almost 4 years ago in NYC.
We celebrated Valentine's Day by making pizza with heart shaped pepperoni and homemade oatmeal cream pies (Morgan's favorite cookie). The next day we went to dinner in downtown PA and Holly tasted her first felafel sandwich (i LOVE Mediterranean food). Then we went to the old Stanford theater (again Holly LOVED this) and saw Alfred Hitchcock's 1960's movie "Young and Innocent." I have always been a snob with black and white movies and have maybe seen 3 in my life, but I really, really enjoyed the show and loved how excited Holly was.
Morgan had been telling me two weeks in advance that we weren't going to get each other anything for Valentine's Day because we were going to Wicked, but he surprised me with this beautiful orchid, peanut butter M&M's and a sweet note! It was perfect!! I couldn't ask for a better man to spend the rest of my life with!

Morgan is so sweet. I'm glad that Holly was able to come and visit you. It sounds like you guys had a great Valentines Day.
