Spending Time in the Big City!

Going into San Francisco stresses me out. Its big, it has lots of crazy streets and crazy drivers and all the other weird stuff the comes with a big city. Morgan and I rarely brave going into the city on our own as we often get caught on the wrong streets that take 1 hour to go down instead of 15 min. and often just drive into a parking garage and pay $10 instead of trying to figure out all the one-way streets and crazy hills.

Thank heavens we have nice friends that go with us and help us navigate the big place. A couple weekends ago our fellow GSB friends Brittany and Elias went with us to see the broadway Lion King in SF. We got there early, found a great place to park and enjoyed eating at a nice little Thai restaurant for a couple of hours. Morgan and I don't usually try ethnic foods unless someone decides for us and I also love the experience! It was fun to try foods we wouldn't usually try. Lion King was also REALLY spectacular! The costumes were amazing, the staging was incredible and it was just an overall wonderful evening.

Last weekend we decided to do another adventure, drive across the Golden Gate Bridge. This was Morgan's first time which was a little sad considering we have lived here for a year and a half, but the toll is $6! However, what we found on the other side made us want to do this more before we leave.

After exploring the headlands we headed over to the cute little town of Sausalito! It is right on the water, but there are steep hills where all the houses are. It is probably the cutest thing I have seen in a long time.

We walked around the cute main street in the evening and they have lights in the trees. Lots of fun art shops and trinket shops. After walking around we went to this really cute, quite Italian restaurant. The food was so good and we had a little candle on our table. It really was just a perfect day to spend time with my fabulous husband and explore more of beautiful California.
