Nearing the End

Wow! I sure am slacking on the blogging this month. Mostly because we haven't done anything too exciting. We are down to less than two weeks left here in Alexandria. Our furniture is selling little by little and we have started the packing process. We finished our last week working at the temple and it was sad to leave all of my temple working buddies.

Sorry about the sideways pictures! This has never happened before, but i can't get them to rotate :(

A couple weekends ago we finally made it to Ford's Theater (something on the to-do list) and it was really neat to see. The park ranger gave a really great presentation on the events leading up to President Lincoln's assassination and we actually learned a lot of things that I have never heard about.

Inside the theater
The house that President Lincoln died at which is right across the street from the theater.
The box where the Lincoln's sat.

Outside of the theater.

It has been so wonderful to live here and see so many historic sites! I will definitely miss DC and all the fun times that we have had here. We are looking forward to a new adventure in CA where we don't have to commute 2 hours each day and battle thousands of tourists :) Stay tuned for the events in the next two months; they are going to be pretty interesting!

  3. So are you taking a computer on your trip? Are you going to give us update whilst in Europe? It sounds so exciting... Just can't wait to hear how it all goes.
