Away from the city!

We had the opportunity to go with some of our friends to Leesburg, VA this weekend. Leesburg is a Logan size town (maybe a little bigger) that is northwest of DC. It is night and day difference to the DC metro region even though its only about 30 minutes out of DC. They have farms and and houses with yards and even horses and cows! It is so beautiful, especially with all the trees in full bloom.

This is the beautiful house that we stayed in! It is a restored historical house that dates back to before the Civil War and sits on 2 acres of beautiful land with a pond and old barns.

It was so peaceful out there; we got to ride four-wheelers and explore the old barn which was so facinating! One of the wooden walls had this inscription burned into it with the year 1899. That just blows my mind! The barn is build entirely of wood and rock for the foundation.

Jameson (the little boy) loves Morgan and is always wanting to ride on his shoulders. Here is a picture of him sticking him head through the barn door. He is so cute!

Inside the house was beautifully decorated and the floor plan was so great! Here is a picture of the living room; this is how the house is decorated throughout! I loved it!!
We just had a good time playing games, watching movies, hanging out with friends and especially getting away from the busyness of the city. Maybe I do like Virginia after all; at least some parts of it ;)
